As part of the Monthly Scientific Meetings organized by the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at Istanbul Medeniyet University Faculty of Medicine, the April meeting was held on April 30, 2026, at Âşık Paşa Conference Hall.
During the meeting titled “Pitfalls in Diagnosis and Treatment in Orthopaedic Oncology,” the challenges encountered in the diagnostic process of orthopaedic tumors, common mistakes, and critical considerations in treatment planning were comprehensively discussed.
With contributions from experienced faculty members, current literature was reviewed alongside clinical experiences; particular emphasis was placed on the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant lesions, potential errors in imaging and biopsy processes, and the possible consequences of inappropriate treatment approaches.
