Our primary goal in our Istanbul Medeniyet University 6th Gynecology and Obstetrics - Conventional and Functional Medicine Approach in Gynecology Symposium, which we organized between 14-15 October 2023, was to present current information about the Conventional and Functional Medicine Approach in Gynecology to our valued colleagues in an understandable way. The opening of our meeting, chaired by Istanbul Medeniyet University, Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics and Symposium President, Prof. Dr. Abdulkadir Turgut, was honored by our Vice-Rector, Prof. Dr. Nuriye AKBAY, and the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Sadrettin PENÇE. During the sessions, rich presentations including the conventional methods known in gynecology practice and their interpretation from a different perspective in terms of functional medicine were made by our valuable professors. In addition, the absence of a participation fee in our symposium provided an important opportunity for all participants, especially our young assistants and experts, to access information without financial worries. As a social message this year, as last year, we called for respect for greenery and nature, and for raising awareness about reducing water use as much as possible. In addition, this year, more importantly, we emphasized our desire to have more respect for the life rights of women and children.
